Mahi Rakaau Zoom with Atarangi

Atarangi.jpg

Once again, Master Maori Healer Atarangi will be guiding us in the ancient technique of Mahi Raakaau via Zoom all the way from New Zealand. Make no mistake how powerful this healing can be on the body and soul.

Mahi Raakaau is a monthly series that offers effective, common sense healing and guidance to expand your resourcefulness for you. Some information may repeat and give you an opportunity to go deeper. Other information will be new. Each session has its own energy and being. It may be that you string several together before developing a routine that works for you at this time.

Working the body is not a practice, it is a need, even when painful.  But you can do this with ease and take care of yourself.  Use of the Raakaau, in all her ways and means, is a tool to help you discover the places and parts of the body that are challenged.  Yes, it can make one sore, it can make you cry, it can make you feel.  But always it will move you to some level of understanding and knowing of yourself, that you may have forgotten, or thought you lacked.

You will need 2 “Raakaau” or round sticks to work on the body. For those without a Raakaau yet, you will need to purchase two wooden dowels (rods) from your local hardware store or timber merchant.  This should be a minor purchase.

  • 25mm diameter x 500mm length and 50mm diameter x 600mm length (metric)

  • 1” diameter x 20” length and 2” diameter x 24” length (U.S.)

(a bit longer in length is okay)

This from Ata:

Kia ora whanau,

Before our birth, we understood the contrasting diversity on this mother of ours EARTH.

We came with eagerness to explore and bring on the expansion called for because of us.

Our life we chose.  We will always have that available, to choose. Even when we think it is not so.

Take the time to reflect. To look. To listen. To feel. To BE!

Feel and appreciate what source feels for each one of us at this moment, at this time.

Any resistance you have found along your pathway, release this. With great consciousness to who you are!

And you will discover patterns of wellbeing that were sown in to your fabric of your own uniqueness.

You will find your mana, your reason for being, you.
